A lot fun in a short time for a good cause. Simple as.

Dressed in inflatable giant sumo suits, together we are to tackle whilst, giggling, singing, dancing, puffing, zigg-ing, zagg-ing, then a lot of laughing plus a bit of light running, for a short distance of 5km / 3miles around Battersea park, on a great summer’s day for one terrific cause.

Where does your money go?

The money you raise for this year’s Sumo Run 2010 will help Gemin-i run more educational projects connecting young people worldwide. One of the new projects you will be helping to support is an HIV and AIDS awareness project (entitled “Youth Action Exchange”) being launched later this year in over 100 countries around the globe.

CONNECT
Gemin-i aim to connect 1,000 schools in the developing and developed world to discuss the issues associated with HIV and AIDS.

LEARN
At least 60,000 children will share ideas online and learn about the tangible ways they can play a role in combating HIV and AIDS.

CHANGE Schools will then be provided with tailored resources and tools to help them to join campaigns, take action and address governments on their commitment to deliver effective strategies to tackle HIV and AIDS. £250 can connect 1 school in the Developing World

WE ALSO BROKE THE GUINNES BOOK OF WORLD RECORDS

There were a total of 205 Sumos on Saturday which meant that we beat the current Guinness Book of Record by a huge margin of 4!! Not bad for a 30th achievement!

It was so great to see so many people of different levels, background and experiences join in this fun and mad event that left us all feeling great at what we have achieved and only took up less than an hour of our Saturday morning in Battersea Park.

Our hilarious pictures can be viewed at THE FAT KID ALWAYS WINS AT SEE SAW Sumo Team full photos
